The Journey, in Indianapolis -
So far, this is my favorite sushi restaurant around here in indiana.
I know I can get a little better sushi in Chicago, but
they are more pricy (since they are a little better in quality and
they are in CHICAGO) and it is bit too far away
to go just for dinner.
The Journey is a buffet style Asian restaurant and
they have stuff other than sushi too, like some Chinese food.
But when I go there, I always go for the "exotic" sushi or sashimi.
I say "exotic", because,,,
Okay, I must say, they are not authentic Japanese sushi.
Believe me, I am Japanese and they are not the type of sushi you will find in Japan.
However the quality is not too bad at all!
Most of the Asian restaurant, especially those that are run by American owners,
they have horrible rice that are not cooked properly for sushi;
they are often too moist, or worse, they are not even the right type of rice.
And if the rice is not good at all, then it does not matter what you put on or inside,
the sushi does not taste good AT ALL!!
But here in the Journey, I would say the quality of rice is not too bad
and the "exotic" sushi they serve is not actually bad at all!
It just look a little funky to Japanese people who are used to Japanese authentic sushi.
I would say,
consider the location, it is in mid-west and it is not even in a big city like Chicago,
they have a very nice sushi and if you have never tried any of them,
it is a perfect place to try it here at the Journey,
because if you do like them, then it will be perfect, but even if you don't,
you will still find other stuff to eat at the Journey.
